Leading Italian saddle brand, Amerigo has added two new models to its portfolio, both designed for horses with short backs.
From the wooden tree collection, the Pasubio dressage model and the DJ Largo jumping saddle have been specially created for short coupled horses – where there is limited room for the rider. Both saddles also have an extra wide gullet to accommodate horses that are wider through the withers.
“Every horse has its particular back shape and the saddle has to mirror this exactly so that the rider can sit in balance and work in harmony with the horse,” commented Peter Menet, designer, Amerigo. “This is our ethos at Amerigo and the scientific concept that has led to design of these two saddles.”
As with all Amerigo saddles, the new Pasubio and DJ Largo are individually handcrafted to order in Italy using first choice French and Italian hides. The specially selected leather combined with the meticulous and qualified handcrafting, ensures that every Amerigo saddle becomes a true Made in Italy masterpiece.
The innovative Multifunctional Panel System (MPS) is used for all Amerigo saddles and is a unique mixture of synthetic fibres that respond to warmth to ensure a perfect fit. The panels can be made with different amounts of stuffing to suit each horse.
